Q. How can I calculate the grid covers I will need?
A. Add all sides and then divide by 4 and this is how many wall perimeter molding covers you will need, next multiply the length by the width to get the square footage of the area of your drop ceiling.
Now divide square foot by 16 (for a 2' x 4') or by 8 (for a 2' x 2') ceiling and this is the number of main covers you need, then divide the square foot of the area by 8 (for a 2'x4') and by 4 (for a 2' x 2' grid) for the Cross T covers you will need.

1.
What lengths do the RP Grid Covers components come in?
The RP Grid Covers components include 2-foot tee covers, 4-foot tee
covers, 4-foot main covers, and 4-foot wall angle covers. If you purchase RP Grid
Covers in a Kit format your kit will
only include 2-foot tees, not 4-foot tees. A RP Grid Covers kit can be
used on a 2x4 ceiling. Please see the RP Grid Covers installation guide
for instructions.
2. What can I use to cut RP Grid Covers components?
During the installation of RP Grid Covers, you may need to cut pieces to
fit your particular ceiling. RP Grid Covers can be cut with a tin snips
fairly easily.
3. Do I need to remove the tiles to install RP Grid Covers?
The tiles you have currently installed do not need to be removed to install RP Grid
Covers. Simply snap the component over the grid, pushing the tile up into
the ceiling if needed.
4. What sizes is RP Grid Covers available in?
RP Grid Covers are available in 9/16-inch, 15/16-inch and 1-inch. It is
very important that you measure the width of your grid in numerous places
before you order RP Grid Covers.
5. I'm having a hard time snapping my RP Grid Covers
components on to my grid. What do I need to do?
If you are having a hard time snapping on RP Grid Covers, you may want to
make sure you've ordered the correct width RP Grid Covers, to fit over your
grid. Possible grid widths include 15/16-inch and 1-inch.RP Grid Covers
is available in both sizes. You may also want to check the grid for paint.
This could be another cause to your problem. If the paint was sprayed on, you
should have no problem snapping the RP Grid Covers covers on. If the
paint was rolled onto the grid, it may be too thick and prevent the covers
from snapping on easily. If you currently have 15/16-inch grid and it has
been painted using a roller and cannot get the 15/16-inch covers to snap over,
you may want to consider trying 1-inch grid covers. If you have any doubt on
what size to order, it is recommended to call and have a sample sent to you
before you place your order.

6. Can RP Grid Covers
be used on any type of grid ceiling?
RP Grid Covers can be used on most metal suspended grid systems, however
the type of tile you have in that grid may not allow for RP Grid Covers.
For example, some types of revealed tile (tile that has a 1/4-inch lip around
the edge) may not lie in the grid correctly once the RP Grid Covers is
snapped on the grid. See the diagram below.
7. Can RP Grid Covers be used on different tile styles?
The following diagram shows which styles of tile can and cannot be used with RP Grid
Covers.
